NPI – Nameplates Inc. manufactures the full range of industrial product identification and branding, in metal and flexible materials alike, from one ISO 9001:2015-certified shop in Tulsa. That includes metal nameplates, industrial decals and placards, graphic overlays, tags, control panels, airport and runway signage, interior signs and displays, and vehicle graphics and wraps.
Choosing the right product usually comes down to two questions: how long does the identification need to last, and what does it have to withstand? A vinyl decal and an etched stainless steel nameplate solve the same problem in very different environments. We help you match the material, process, and finish to the job, whether you need a single prototype or a full production run.
Metal Nameplates
Metal nameplates are durable identification plates made from aluminum, stainless steel, brass, or Metalphoto® anodized aluminum, built to carry branding, ratings, serial numbers, and compliance information for the life of the equipment. Industrial nameplates from NPI can withstand up to 25 years of outdoor exposure and are available in thicknesses from .003 to .125 inches.
We produce metal nameplates by chemical etching, screen and digital printing, laser marking, and Metalphoto®, and we recommend the process that fits your material, environment, and volume. As a certified Metalphoto® converter, we manufacture sealed, sub-surface images that resist UV, chemicals, abrasion, and salt spray for decades. Plates can be die cut, digitally cut, laminated, or machined to your specifications
Decals & Placards
Industrial decals are printed, adhesive-backed identification products designed to stay on the equipment for its full service life, not to peel off like consumer labels. In aerospace applications these are often called placards.
We produce decals in vinyl, polyester, polycarbonate, and polystyrene, and we specify the substrate, finish, and adhesive to match your surface and environment. Vinyl and polyester are two of our most-used materials: vinyl offers strong printability, scuff and UV resistance, and up to eight years of outdoor life when paired with a UV-inhibiting laminate, while polyester delivers excellent clarity along with heat, tear, abrasion, and chemical resistance. From rating and warning decals to barcodes and branded graphics, we help you produce identification that performs.
Graphic Overlays
Graphic overlays are durable printed layers that bring branding, labeling, and control graphics together on a single surface, giving equipment a clean, professional, and long-lasting face. They are commonly used on control panels, instrumentation, and equipment fronts.
We print overlays on materials chosen for clarity, durability, and resistance to abrasion and chemicals, and we can pair them with specialty adhesives for a lasting bond to your surface. The result is a finished graphic that keeps ratings, labels, and branding legible in demanding conditions.
Tags
Tags are metal and plastic identification pieces that attach to or hang from equipment, valves, fuel tanks, and assets, carrying serial numbers, barcodes, ratings, and other tracking information. They are a practical choice where a plate can’t be permanently mounted.
We produce tags serialized, barcoded, stamped, etched, or printed, in materials matched to the environment, from routine indoor asset tracking to high-temperature and corrosive settings.
Control Panels
Control panels bring printed and fabricated graphics and legends together into one durable, professional assembly that identifies controls and guides the operator. They combine the branding, labeling, and layout of an overlay with the fabrication a finished panel requires.
We manufacture control panel graphics to your specifications, matching materials and finishes to the way the panel will be used and where it will live.
Airport & Runway Signage
Airport and runway signage covers the runway, taxiway, and airfield identification and guidance signs that direct aircraft and ground traffic, built to stay legible and hold color through constant outdoor exposure.
This is a growing product line for NPI, and we bring the same durable-materials expertise to airfield signage that we bring to industrial nameplates and decals.
Signs & Displays
Signs and displays include interior signs, wayfinding and room identification, point-of-purchase displays, banners, and parking signs, produced to your specifications for a professional look indoors and out. NPI can also make signs ADA-compliant with tactile and braille identification.
